19 of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been earned on hardcourt
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev secured his maiden title for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has endured a difficult season, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the New York tournament.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serving in specific - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and eventually separating with long-term mentor Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually improved in the past month - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Moutet.
This represents his maiden title after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt from that period of the previous year.
Victory also means Medvedev has secured 21 championships at twenty-one various tournaments.
"For the first time I have attended a event with my two daughters simultaneously, so to get a championship is really nice," commented tennis professional the champion.
"This title is in dedication of my second daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, featuring in that event previously this season.
His retrieving play style and regular reactions on the tennis court had led some to question if his ability to perform at the highest level was finished.
But the 29-year-old has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete assertively, backed up by an enhanced service.
He came back from a break down in the first set against the tricky Moutet, winning 4 of the concluding five games to take the lead.
The competitors traded service breaks in the following set before Moutet, bidding for his first ATP Tour title, gained dominance to create a third set.
The opponent rescued 4 initial opportunities in a close deciding set before the champion broke to fifteen to secure the win.
Appropriately, he clinched the win with a shot at the front of the court, with the Frenchman unable to manage a volley after a lengthy match.
